Bracelet Hippocampus Lapilli

The seahorse – or hippocampus – was considered a divine animal. In Greek mythology it was associated with Poseidon, the god of the Sea, who was often depicted on a chariot pulled by hippocampi: animals that were horses up to the belly and fish in the lower half of the body.
