Kamarina Nude Coin Charm
Description
The coins of Camarina were minted around 490 BC and the silver charm reproduces the figures present at the time: a Corinthian helmet in the center of a shield and, on the other side, a palm with two greaves that refer to the domination of the tyrant of Gela, Hippocrates, who also controlled Camarina. An exercise in art and mastery of the master goldsmiths who pay homage with their work today to one of the most glorious eras for artistic heritage.
