Trinacria Lapilli Necklace

The trinacria was an ancient religious symbol that represented the sun in its triple form: spring, summer and winter. This symbol, impressed by the Greeks on coins, was adopted by Agathocles in Syracuse; from the Roman era it took on a different meaning and was used to indicate Sicily.
