An ancient myth tells that Medusa's blood, meeting with salt water, is able to transform algae into precious branches of red coral. It is formed by a colony of microorganisms that grow only in certain conditions: it is one of the greatest riches, a symbol of eternity, which is preserved in the ravines of the Mediterranean Sea in its chromatic variations that go from pink - typical of Sciacca - to red.
