Jasmine Bush Earrings

The jasmine plant comes from the Middle East and, according to legend, it arrived in Italy thanks to Cosimo de' Medici who wanted the plant in his majestic garden. He was so jealous of the plant with its white and scented flowers that he forbade anyone from taking away even a small sprig; one day, however, a young gardener decided to give a sprig to his girlfriend, who planted it in her garden where the plant grew lush. The couple began to sell sprigs to all those who were struck by its scent and beauty, so they made a fortune and jasmine slowly spread to gardens throughout Italy. Some earrings pay homage to this flower with delicate beauty.
