The New Capless Rollerball Completes the 1912 Heritage Collection and Pays Homage to Montblanc’s Heritage of Design and Innovation. The New Technology Adds Further Convenience, While Maintaining the Unique Pleasure of Writing with Ink. The Capless Rollerball does not have a separate cap, but operates via a convenient twist mechanism. The purity of its minimalist form is inspired by one of the first Simplo Safety Filler Pens made in the early 20th century. The platinum-plated barrel and cap, made of black precious resin, are adorned with a Montblanc emblem in mother-of-pearl lacquer, located inside the transparent cap top.
